Volunteers
Our Volunteers
Our volunteers are the heart of Meals on Wheels. They’re values-driven individuals who generously give their time to support those in need within their local communities.
Through their work, volunteers often form meaningful social connections not only with our clients, but also with other like-minded volunteers who share the same passion for helping others. In fact, many of our clients were once volunteers themselves, continuing a wonderful cycle of care and community.
Our volunteer family is wonderfully diverse, bringing together people of all ages, backgrounds, and experiences including corporate volunteers who lend a hand while working from home.
We’re incredibly proud to have over 650 volunteers across our services. The time they generously donate each year is valued at nearly $2 million, and together they travel more kilometres than the entire diameter of Jupiter!
Our volunteers are truly invaluable, and we couldn’t do what we do without them.
